Martyr Date: 03/01/2024
Age: 26 years old

“After five minutes, he sent me a message informing me that they were all surrounded by the occupation forces and no one could leave. I prayed to God for their safety”
Martyr Adham Mohammad Al-Sa’afeen, 26 years old.
He was a graduate of Financial and Banking Sciences, a highly educated and ambitious individual. In the last period of his life, he always dreamed of obtaining a job in his field in a country where there were no human opportunities. He always wanted to feel productive and effective for his family and community.
However, “death was closer.”
In our last conversation on March 1st, we exchanged thoughts and worries and discussed the circumstances we were living in. Suddenly, during the conversation, he mentioned a “severe shelling” and tanks firing nearby, besieging the neighborhood he lived in, in Khan Yunis city. We ended the call due to the deteriorating situation, and he told me he would call again at another time.
That was our last message.
After two weeks, the army withdrew from the area. One of his family members went there and found Adham had been killed by a gunshot to the head, his body lying among the city’s towers. This occupier showed no mercy, executing Adham in cold blood.
Adham was an innocent civilian. Why was he killed in such a way? They took away his life, his dreams, and his family’s future. I lost a friend, a brother, a beloved and close companion. He was the dearest and closest to my heart.
May God have mercy on the beloved martyr, Adham Al-Sa’afeen
