Ahmad was a father of three who was described as a man of integrity by those who knew him.
Before the war, Ahmad worked in Israel for three years as a housekeeper to provide for his children, despite holding a master’s degree in Business Management.
He never accepted charity, the supervisor of a building where he had been employed told Haaretz, refusing any money offered to him.
Ahmad was shot and killed by an Israeli sniper while seeking aid for his family in Khan Yunis on February 25, according to the supervisor. His death was announced by the council of a West Bank village where Ahmad once resided
