Martyr Amani Omar Al-Darbi, the seventh of June each year was associated with a joyful occasion, Amani’s birthday. She was a mother, a sister, and a loyal friend. She was our psychological counselor, holding a master’s degree in counseling psychology with distinction.
She was beautiful, ambitious, persevering, and had a kind heart. She was a dedicated helper, assisting anyone in need during the war. She opened her home to the displaced for months. She was a pillar of support for everyone who knew her.
Her friend says: “On the night of her martyrdom, we spoke with each other. She told me that she was hopeful about the news when the firing ceased. However, on the morning of the seventh of May, we all woke up to the tragedy that befell her and her four children. Their house in Rafah was targeted in an Israeli bombardment. May Allah have mercy on Amani and her children, and may she remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.”
